A Human Vision!
In our pursuit of a more human-centered existence, it is essential to collaboratively reprogram the cultural frameworks that govern our lives. By engaging in this collective effort, we can foster a society that prioritizes empathy, resilience, and mutual support. As we challenge outdated norms and embrace innovative ideas, we not only pave the way for a harmonious coexistence but also cultivate a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with the planet.

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime,"
It's Puzzling
At Resilient Ecosystems, we hold the belief that each individual is a vital puzzle piece in the larger picture of our shared human future. When we come together, our diverse perspectives and collective imagination can pave the way for a thriving society. While fear may be a natural response to uncertainty, anxiety often stems from a distorted view of reality that hinders action. It is essential to confront this anxiety and not allow it to dictate our lives or our culture. By embracing collaboration and nurturing a supportive environment, we can foster a culture where humanity flourishes together, transforming our dreams into tangible realities. Let us unite to envision and create a sustainable future for all!

Our Mission
At our organization, we are dedicated to fostering vibrant human ecosystems that promote health and well-being within communities. By actively working alongside individuals and neighborhoods, we plant seeds of change that inspire growth and resilience. Our commitment to nurturing relationships helps build strong, interconnected communities that thrive through democratic engagement. We believe in the power of grassroots connections, empowering residents to take charge of their environment and advocate for their needs. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem where everyone has a voice, and together we can cultivate a healthier, more equitable future for all.
“The one unchangeable certainty is that nothing is unchangeable or certain.” ~ John F. Kennedy
For too long, our collective destiny has been shaped by a select few who prioritize their own interests over the common good. This has led to a world where inequality and division prevail, leaving many to struggle while others prosper. It is crucial that we take back the pen and start writing our own narrative, one that reflects our shared values and aspirations. Together, we have the power to envision and build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

RESECO Board of Directors
Engaging in the same activities with the same individuals repeatedly and hoping for different results can lead to a sense of frustration and stagnation. This cycle often resembles the definition of insanity, where the expectation of change contradicts the lack of new strategies or perspectives. To foster real transformation, it is essential to seek out a diverse group of individuals who not only share a common vision but are also eager to collaborate and put in the effort necessary to achieve that goal. By bringing together passionate and committed people, we can cultivate an environment where innovative ideas flourish, and meaningful progress is made. Together, with a united purpose, we can break the cycle of monotony and create the impactful change we desire.

“The best way to predict the future is to create it” ~Undecided (attributed to several sources)
The Resilient Ecosystems Organization is dedicated to changing the human condition globally through planned local action, engagement, grassroots organizing, and utilizing the democratic process. Resilient Ecosystems (RESECO) is focused on improving the foundations and conditions for humans one neighborhood at a time. A big goal until you realize that the work and the approach is generational, starts from building a solid foundation of local human connection, and is based on human wiring.
A Board Member representing RESECO is committed to driving this vision and doing the work associated with it. They must come into the organization with several pieces of the puzzle in place, and be willing to do the work necessary, both personal and organizational, to drive the goals to fruition. A member of the Board must take up the mantel of responsibility that goes with the position, must always look at the context as well as the opportunity through the lens of the organization’s generational mission.
Perspective and philosophical alignment
1. That our culture is broken and has been for millennia leading to our current series of crises.
2. No short-term fix is available for the issues we face, there will need to be a sustained long-term effort to redirect mankind onto a resilient path.
3. There is no leader or entity that will do the work and provide any meaningful solution, we need to find a way to come together like a jigsaw puzzle and work toward a solution.
4. That the majority of humanity will not understand the issues. The science of tipping points states that when somewhere between 16-22% of the population starts to move in a new direction the rest will eventually follow. This is how change will occur.
5. That the focus must be local to define the scope and document the wins and losses so others might engage and develop on our work.
6. That none of us will live to see the fruit of the seeds we are planting, but that we will see changes leading the direction that humanity needs to go.
7. That the way forward needs to be through collaboration, communication, and shared effort.
8. That the Board of Directors needs to be committed to doing the work necessary.
No single person can do this, It is all about people, together…
Teach People to Fish!

In a world that often glorifies the individual, it is vital to remember that we are inherently connected to one another.
Our successes are not solely our own; they are intertwined with the support and influence of those around us. Each person we encounter brings unique experiences, strengths, and perspectives that enrich our understanding of life and foster growth.
Embracing this diversity allows us to learn from one another and collaborate towards a brighter future. Acknowledging our interdependence not only enhances our humanity but also empowers us to navigate the complexities of life together, reminding us that we are stronger as a collective.
In celebrating our shared journeys, we find the true essence of thriving in a world meant for community.
Individual but Connected...
We the People...
The opening words of the U.S. Constitution, "We the People," serve as a powerful reminder of the collective voice that underpins our democracy. This phrase emphasizes inclusivity, asserting that the government exists not for a select few, but for all citizens. As we strive to form a more perfect union, it is essential to prioritize justice, domestic tranquility, and the common good. By engaging at the grassroots level and fostering dialogue within our communities, we can begin to reprogram and reclaim the values that may have been lost over time. Together, we can work towards a country that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the majority, ensuring that the blessings of liberty extend to every individual and future generations. Let us unite in our efforts to create a society that embodies the principles of equity, representation, and shared responsibility.

Thoughts on Fundraising…
As a non-profit we are inundated with businesses and organizations offering to assist us in our fundraising efforts. We laugh and unsubscribe to these messages, why? Because they have no idea who we are, what we do, or what our needs might be.
We live in a world where we are put in boxes that don’t fit, categorized into rows and columns that are meaningless to the reality in which we function. A world where carrots are dangled that are never meant to be rewarded or eaten. These are the universal truths for organizations trying to do the work of healing our culture and supporting the humans who must live within it.
None of these outreach programs actually provide any contact with potential investors, in fact the very best they can do is provide a place for investors to verify your organization, find information on your organization, or, at the most broadcast listings without any validation to lists that have never been verified. In other words, it is a con, a shell game that promises what will never be delivered.
The really criminal thing about this is the cost in time and resources needed for zero results.
Another dark side of identifying potential funding is the strings attached if you should be so unfortunate to find someone willing to provide money, remember no is far easier than yes even with the best concept, documentation and track record.
Few if any grants allow enough for operating the organization which is the largest cost to any non-profits other than large projects. Many, if not most, require metrics that often have nothing to do with what it is you do costing your organization more than it provides.
One grant we reviewed early on would have ended up costing the organization far more that it offered.
The darkest funding process we have seen were the “investment clubs” gladiatorial events pitting no-profits against each other for an amount that would barely cover start-up costs. Attached to these events are a group of parasitic businesses that are poised to pick the pocket of the winners with their “services”.
In a decade we have found no gateway to actual philanthropists seeking to invest in the betterment of their fellow man.
Resilient Ecosystems has been largely self-funded for the past decade, which has greatly limited our ability to develop wide scale services. That said, it has also provided us the opportunity to find the core of our work and develop on that.
Our reality, both as people and as a non-profit, is that the work of funding and providing services is pushed down upon us. From recycling to volunteering, to paying for everything from medical to car tabs and beyond. We don’t want to add to that burden, but we are going to ask anyway because you are the most appropriate source of funding for what we do, which is for you.
The challenge is that what we do (together) will change the paradigm for our human future, but it will take generations to do fully. That said together we can make substantial changes relatively quickly as the processes and people are engaged. Together if everyone gives a little we all get a lot, we get a future where we thrive.
Please join us for yourselves, our children and our future, together we can create a thriving human future.
